Unlock your inner designer with Canva

Unleash the magic of design with Canva, your pocket-sized creative companion. Effortlessly craft social media posts, captivating presentations, or personalized invitations for your next event, with thousands of templates at your fingertips.

Create a new Canva account with your email or mobile number, or link your Facebook or Google account for easier sign up. To begin, choose what you will be using Canva for, such as personal purposes or for a small business. This helps Canva recommend designs more suited to your needs. If you have an existing account and want to sync previous projects, just log in with your existing credentials.

On your Home tab, you’ll discover recommendations from Canva’s library of graphics and templates arranged by category. Easily get started on building your project by tapping into a template. Already have a design, color, or vibe in mind? Tap the search bar at the top of the screen to find inspiration for projects like “modern wedding invitations” or “colorful project presentations.”

Tap the plus icon at the center of the navigation bar to begin a new project. Set the resolution you want your graphic to be or where you intend to post it to create Instagram posts, presentations, social media banners, and more. This gives you freedom to build your design from scratch, adding elements as you go along.

You can add multiple pages to each project for series or collections.

Now that you’ve embarked on your first project, you can add, remove, or tweak elements to fit your vision. Tap the plus icon at the bottom left corner to add elements like photos, shapes, graphics, frames, and more. You can upload your own images or choose from Canva’s library instead. Tapping the plus icon also allows you to draw directly onto your design or add textboxes to include copy.

Don’t like what you see? Tap a specific element followed by the trash icon to remove it.

You can also tweak elements by tapping them and selecting their layer or position from the bottom navigation bar that pops up. Tap and drag any corner of your element to resize it, or tap, hold, and drag elements to move them around. Tapping into each element shows you actions you can perform, such as adjusting contrast, adding filters to images, or animating an element.

Pinch in to zoom into anywhere on your design to get a better look. This allows you to have finer control over which elements you want to work on.

Congratulations on your new Canva creation! Once you’re satisfied with your design, you can download it in a number of formats (JPG, PNG, PDF, etc) or upload it directly to your social media profiles. You can also share a link to allow others to view your project or even collaborate.

Canva makes it easy to build designs with other people. Tap the share icon in the upper-right corner of your screen and then Invite to invite collaborators to edit your design via email. You could also tap Share Link to grant edit access with a link.

For marketing teams and more experienced designers, you’ll want to tap into Canva Pro for even more powerful capabilities. Pro users gain access to an extended library of premium elements, templates, and more. With Canva Pro, you can also schedule designed content to publish directly from the editor, or use Brand Kits to apply brand colors, and fonts across all designs.
